Voortrekker Monument reopens to the public

The Voortrekker Monument Heritage Site in Pretoria ,Tshwane, reopened its doors to the public on August 4, 2020, following a four month closure.

The Monument was closed on March 27, 2020 in a bid to curb the spread of coronavirus.

According to a statement on the official site, the Monument is open for visitors from Tuesday to Sunday from 09:00 and 15:00 and will be closed on Mondays and entrance fees have been reduced to half the initial price until the end of February 2021.

Visitors have been reminded to adhere to the Covid-19 regulations when visiting the monument and these include the wearing of masks and presenting themselves for body temperature checks.

The library and archive centre will be open but will only be visited by appointment.
