Tanzania’s Zanzibar authorities have reopened tourism activities, Zanzibar’s Tourism Minister, Mahmoud Thabit Kombo revealed.
“Zanzibar today has opened its tourism activities to normal both for charter flights and scheduled flights,” Minister Kombo added.
In the same vein, the minister also pronounced strict conditions to reduce health risks to tourists and hoteliers in the face of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
The destination was closed on March 2, 2020 to curb the spread of COVID-19 and the minister stated that it was now safe to reopen as there were very few cases.
