Kulula.com, owned by Comair, the local operator for British Airways, is expected to resume operations in November 2020.

The airline made this announcement on their official website citing that as part of Comair Limited, they were currently under Business Rescue.

“We plan to be back in the skies by November 2020 and will be in contact with all customers regarding their bookings.”

Comair entered into voluntary business rescue proceedings to safeguard the company and its stakeholders.

“This is to ensure a focused restructuring of the company as quickly as possible so we can take to the skies again as a sustainable business and play our part in the country’s airline industry and economy,” said the group.

It has not been in operation since March, 2020 and has been struggling prior to the lockdown.

“We remain hopeful that operations will resume at or about 1 November 2020. Comair remains solvent and an important contributor to the South African economy.”
