Angola’s flagship airline, TAAG is planning staff layings-off to ensure the company’s survival, Transport Minister Ricardo Daniel Sandão Queirós Viegas de Abreu said.
“There is a surplus of staff that has to be dealt with,” expressed de Abreu.
The Minister added that the measure will be implemented as soon as the state of emergency in the country comes to an end on May 10, 2020.
He also said that he was researching, together with the Finance ministry, the amount of backing the carrier would need for both financial restructuring, and capitalization.
