Low cost airline, Fastjet Zimbabwe plans to resume operations on May 6, 2020.
According to a travel update issued by the carrier, this decision followed the extension of the lockdown imposed on Zimbabwe, in a bid to fight the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Customers are informed that Fastjet’s flexible booking change policy has been extended, now allowing unlimited changes with no fees until 30th September 2020, said the airline.
The initial proposed day for resumption of operations had been April 20, 2020 but it was moved to May 2, 2020 following the extension of the lockdown in South Africa.
“Our flight booking and reservation system will be updated accordingly.”
Fastjet temporarily suspended it operations from March 27, 2020 .
The suspension followed measures introduced in Zimbabwe and South Africa to control the spread of COVID-19.
