Airlink to implement a reduced schedule from May 4, 2020

South Africa’s regional carrier, Airlink which was meant to provide a reduced flight schedule on April 20, 2020 has moved the date to May 4, 2020.

This follows the extension of the lockdown in South Africa which was put in place by the government of South Africa to curb the spread of COVID-19.

According to the new flight schedule released by Airlink, the flights will be between from Johannesburg and Bloemfontein, Kimberly, Pietermaritzburg, Mthatha, Upington, Sishen, Polokwane, Nelspruit, Hoedspruit, Richards Bay, Maseru in Lesotho, Eswatini, Harare, Bulawayo, Walvis Bay, Windhoek, Ndola, Lusaka, St Helena, Gaborone, Maun, Kasane, Pemba, Beira, Tete, Vilanculos and Antananarivo; between Cape Town and  Kimberly, George, Upington,  Hoedspruit, Nelspruit and Port Elizabeth.  

Airlink temporarily suspended its operations on March 26, 2020 following South Africa’s lockdown and the resultant travel bans.
