Cullinan looks forward to resuming operations from June 2020 A South African Tourism, Leisure and Financial Services company, Cullinan Holdings is looking forward to resuming operations from June 2020.

Speaking during a South African Tourism Webiner addressing the Tourism Recovery Plan for the sector held on April, 9, 2020, Cullinan Holdings CEO, Michael Tollman expressed that even though traveler confidence right now was an issue, they were optimistic and looking to start operations from June.

“There is a huge demand, operations will start with domestic, regional and then international,” he said.

Tollman added that it was critical for companies to start operations again as currency at the moment was playing to their advantage, making it easier to sell South Africa.

“We must do whatever we can to fulfil jobs to people in the industry, in order for the industry to survive, currency helps us both ways,” he said.

Tollman stated that the next six months were critical to the tourism sector’s survival and being sympathetic to suppliers, stakeholders, help was required.

“We are going to be competing against other destinations once borders reopen,” he expressed.

Cullinan is a subsidiary of the Travel Corporation, a global tourism and travel business which owns some of the most iconic brands worldwide, including Trafalgar Tours, Insight Tours, Contiki Tours, The Red Carnation Hotel Group and Uniworld River Cruising amongst others.
