British flag carrier, British Airways, is scheduled to increase the number of flights between Gatwick Airport (LGW) in London and Cape Town International Airport (CPT) in Cape Town, South Africa in 2021.
According to a press statement released by the airline, this schedule will be in effect from January 10, 2021.
“The new services will mean that customers can choose from 19 flights a week to Cape Town from London to suit their schedule, with the outbound and return flights overnight to maximise time in South Africa, alongside 14 to Johannesburg, again overnight both ways, and three to Durban,” said the airline.
British Airways’ Managing Director of London Gatwick, Adam Carson revealed that they were also increasing number of flights to St Lucia and Cancun from Gatwick .
“We know our customers crave some winter warmth as these are incredibly popular destinations,” he added.
These flights have been placed on days that work well to maximise travellers’ time and annual leave.
