Preparations for the World Tourism Conference, slated for the 12th to the 16th of October, 2020, in the capital of Ghana, Accra, are already under way.
According to the organizers, the conference is expected to highlight the emerging business and investment opportunities across Africa’s tourism sector.
“The conference will show how tourism can be utilized as an engine for economic growth and job creation through disruptive business models and strategies, leveraging creative industries and culture, emerging technologies, capacity building and building strategic partnerships,” said the organizers through a press statement.
It will also provide a platform to connect, network and explore new tourism markets and products.
“Join us to take part in discussions focused on Africa’s tourism market development and to explore opportunities for investment along the tourism and hospitality value chain,” said the organizers.
Those expected to attend the conference include Tourism Policy Leaders, national, regional and city tourism officers, tour operators and travel agents, media, travel, lifestyle, fashion, music, art, food and wine influencers, airlines and logistics managers, hotels, hoteliers and lodging establishments as well as investors and financiers, among many.
The conference will be hosted by the Africa Tourism Association in collaboration with Ghana Tourism Authority.
